Since last time i've created my lavalite characters. I'm so pleased that I took the time to re-model and rig terrance as I created these characters' with much more ease and speed. I managed to model and rig 4 characters in a day! (although i've only used 3 directly, and should I have time, one peeking out of the volcano).
This project has been a MASSIVE learning curve. If anyone had told me i'd create something like this by the end of the semester i'd have thought they were lying. For a first project, I am really pleased with it. I have got the knack of modelling, rigging, using particles and emitters in many different ways, converting planes to nCloth objects to create detail, texturing, animating, lighting, how to model using curves, how to use brushes, and how different textures work to different needs. Although I am pleased with it, should I have had more time, or if it was a project that i'd done having already had this experience to that I could work quicker; I would have done some things different.
Here's a quick screen shot of how it's looking at the moment. I'm pretty pleased with it, but because I'm the one working on it i've been really critical; just fingers crossed I get a good grade for it, because the hard work definitely went into it!!
